Franchise Training and Support to Help You Succeed

As we created the category of mosquito and tick elimination, we literally wrote the book on how to do it, and do it well. We pioneered the processes and technology used by the industry. As pioneers and visionaries, every day we continue to refine our systems to maximize your expertise and optimize your chances of reaching and exceeding your goals for the business. Here’s how it works:

Initial Training

Each new franchisee comes to a week-long training session at the Mosquito Squad Corporate Headquarters in Richmond, Virginia. You’ll get to know your Corporate Support Teams and get in-depth training and education on all aspects of the business:

Day 1:
  • Marketing. Learn who the Mosquito Squad client is and the best ways to reach them through an integrated marketing plan covering offline and online tactics.
Day 2:
  • The Mosquito: You’ll learn the basics of the mosquito, our number one nemesis.
  • Protective Barrier Treatment and Misting Systems: Done in both the classroom and the field, you’ll see the services we provide in action.
  • Visit local franchise office: It helps to see how an operation works. We’ll take you to visit a local franchisee to see how an operation grows.
Day 3:
  • Accounting and Finance: The Accounting Team will show you how to use the accounting systems effectively and efficiently. They will review the standard chart of accounts and go over the basics of successful HR management.
  • Technology: The IT department will walk you through the core technology platforms to your business including the Customer Relationship Management System (CRM), Email and Intranet.
Day 4:
  • OLB Supply: We’ll walk you through the process of ordering and receiving your products.
  • Sales: A detailed explanation of the sales process and scripts and sales role playing to get you comfortable selling the Mosquito Squad service.
  • Customer Service: The Squad prides itself on world class customer service and we’ll show you what is expected.
Day 5:
  • The Tick: Learn the basics of the tick
  • Safety: There are certain safety guidelines that all technicians should follow. We’ll walk through each of these and why they are important to your business
  • General Q&A: our team will be available to answer any of your outstanding questions

Continued Support

After the initial training, we’ll help you to put our business system into practice profitably and efficiently. We’ve helped over 200 locations launch so we know what issues and challenges typically arise for a new franchisee in the first two seasons.

Once you are up and running and through your initial learning curve, the training doesn’t stop. It continues throughout your relationship with Mosquito Squad. The support staff is available to answer any of your questions and also offers:

  • Webinars introducing or reviewing new programs or vendors
  • Field visits where a member of the operations team visits your location to go over the business and ways to improve
  • System-wide franchisee conference calls where franchisees share best tips and practices, what’s happening in the field, and ways to address common questions
  • Annual Meetings that bring together not only Mosquito Squad franchisees but franchisees from the entire Outdoor Living Brands system to share best practices and networking
