Mosquitoes are more than just a minor nuisance; they are major vectors for numerous deadly diseases. Mosquito Squad and our franchise owners offer a critical public health service. By providing effective mosquito control solutions, Mosquito Squad plays a crucial role in safeguarding communities from the threats posed by these tiny but potentially deadly creatures.
To assist with our forward-thinking of strategy and innovative solutions, we welcome our new Vice President of Strategic Growth at Mosquito Squad, Dr. Kurt Vandock. In his many years, he strongly believes that the services provided by our franchise owners are crucial for public health. Dr. Vandock was drawn to the company because of its importance in addressing vector-borne diseases transmitted by mosquitoes, which cause an average of 725,000 deaths globally each year.
While pest control is a common practice, Mosquito Squad sets itself apart by adopting innovative approaches to pest management. Instead of using broad-spectrum larvicides that may harm other insects, we employ specialized techniques tailored to specific mosquito species. Vandock emphasizes the importance of understanding the unique needs of each community and providing solutions that make the environment more comfortable for residents, pets, and livestock.
This means that as a franchise owner, there will always be ways to get involved in your local community and provide a service that residents will love. Each region is unique and has its own public health pest that must be controlled – maybe it’s the stinging scorpions in the Southwest or the massive spiders in the Midwest. Regardless of size or severity, with Dr. Vandock’s support, all of our franchise owners will gain next-level insight into ways to not only increase their income but also their impact in the areas they serve.
Sustainability is a core aspect of Mosquito Squad’s culture, and franchise owners are encouraged to minimize their impact on the environment while maintaining public health. As Mosquito Squad grows, we look forward to further highlighting the efforts and innovations our franchise operators make toward more environmentally sustainable practices. Furthermore, Mosquito Squad encourages and empowers new owners by emphasizing training and continued education. The fresh eyes of Dr. Vandock combined with the knowledge and expertise of our existing operational team will allow our franchise owners to better serve their territories, and their customers, effectively.
